Romance doesn’t have to be expensive
The most romantic part of a gesture is usually the thought behind it.
I love flowers and nice dinners as much as anyone, but I do not think romance depends on a budget.
A handwritten note can feel more personal than something elaborate. Picking up a favourite snack, planning a walk somewhere beautiful, or remembering a tiny thing I mentioned can make an ordinary day feel special.
The common thread is attention. Good romance feels specific to the person receiving it rather than copied from a list of things couples are supposed to do.
For me, that is what makes a gesture memorable: not how much it cost, but how clearly it says, 'I thought about you.'
